A behind-the-scenes video featuring creator Ben Bocquelet sheds light on character development, revealing that some characters are inspired by his childhood interactions.Executive producer Daniel Lennard expresses enthusiasm for the series, deeming it one of the most exciting animation shows in recent years.

He highlights the network’s commitment to the show, commissioning a second series before the first one aired. The hope is that audiences worldwide will embrace the series.Episodes for the season are penned by a team including Bocquelet, Jon Foster, James Lamont, Mic Graves, Chris Garbutt, Jon Brittain, Tom Crowley, Tobi Wilson, Yang Benedi, Guillaume Cassuto, and Antoine Perez.

Storyboarding is done by Aurelie Charbonnier, Chuck Klein, Sebastian Hary, William Laborie, Adrian Maganza, Ben Marsaud, Akis Dimitrakopoulos, Jean Texier, and Charles Schneck. Notably, an episode titled “The Rex,” intended to reveal Mr. Rex’s full appearance, was written but not produced due to fiscal reasons.The season undergoes a visual change from the previous one, with Bocquelet stating that the art style had to adapt for more complex animations within 2D and 3D environments.

In a subsequent interview, he humorously reflects on the challenges faced during the season, acknowledging that they went into the second series thinking they were seasoned animation warriors, only to find it proved quite challenging.

The narrative takes an unexpected turn as Dream and Gumball Watterson’s voice actor, Cantu, engage in a public dispute. Dream makes serious allegations about incidents at an event and in a shared Uber ride, while Cantu acknowledges some actions but refuses to apologize.

This public clash, known as “Dream vs Gumball Watterson,” escalates as Dream posts a video showcasing Cantu making offensive statements.

Despite Dream’s silence on Twitter, Cantu seizes the opportunity, posting outrageous memes and a video captioned “Clearing my head after winning yet another debate” after revealing he was blocked by Dream.
