Rachel Leviss, formerly known as Raquel, a star on Vanderpump Rules, has filed a lawsuit against Tom Sandoval and Ariana Madix, citing several grievances related to the fallout from the Scandoval scandal.
The suit, as reported by Deadline, alleges offenses including revenge porn, invasion of privacy, eavesdropping, and intentional infliction of emotional distress.
According to excerpts from the lawsuit published by Deadline, Leviss claims that Sandoval’s actions caused significant turmoil in her life, leading to her undergoing months of in-patient treatment at a mental health facility and ultimately departing from the show.
The suit suggests that Bravo and Evolution, the show’s production company, played a role in subjecting Leviss to public scrutiny, painting her as one of the most disliked figures in America.
The lawsuit contends that Leviss was a victim of predatory behavior by Sandoval, who allegedly recorded sexually explicit videos of her without her knowledge or consent.
These videos were then purportedly distributed and discussed publicly by Madix, who was seeking revenge after discovering Sandoval’s infidelity with Leviss.
The scandal unfolded after Madix found incriminating evidence on Sandoval’s phone, including an explicit screen-recorded FaceTime call between him and Leviss.
Upon learning of the affair, Leviss’s lawyers warned VPR cast members not to share the video, as it was allegedly recorded illegally without Leviss’s consent.
The complaint, filed with the Los Angeles County Superior Court and obtained by CNN, accuses Sandoval and Madix of revenge porn, invasion of privacy, eavesdropping, and intentional infliction of emotional distress.
Leviss alleges that Sandoval possesses multiple illicitly recorded videos depicting her in compromising situations, and Madix obtained and distributed at least two of these videos without Leviss’s consent.
Furthermore, the lawsuit claims that Leviss was subjected to a gag order imposed by Bravo and Evolution, preventing her from publicly defending herself against Sandoval’s invasion of privacy.
Overall, the lawsuit describes the Scandoval scandal as an epic event that unfolded in March 2023, involving a secret affair between Leviss and Sandoval while he was in a long-term relationship with Madix.
